Yang Gao, Ph.D.

Yang Gao joined KnightHawk Engineering in 2012, and currently serves as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, and uses advanced numerical methods to solve real-world problems that occur to various types of products and equipment commonly seen in the petrochemical industry. As an expert in a line of ASME and API industry codes, he possesses practical knowledge of the principle of finite element method including its strength and limitations so that the models can be simplified with minimal configuration while maintaining essential accuracy and the results can add true values to clients’ needs. In his spare time, you can find him skateboarding, playing tennis, playing the guitar, taking trips with family.
